It is light-weight and flexible and the fibre core is produced in-house. This rope construction has been successfully installed in many standard elevators, all over the world. The combined strength of the wires in the strands enables it to be used on very soft traction sheaves, thus improving the strength ratio between rope and sheave in favour of the traction sheave. It is light-weight and flexible, the fibre core is produced in-house and it is perfect for soft traction sheaves. The outer strands of this eight-strand rope are produced using a Warrington construction. This rope’s extremely low elongation makes it the ideal choice when installing hydraulic elevators. The heavier weight of this product can also be beneficial when counterbalancing. The elevator rope PAWO F3 is ideal for a wide range of applications and has a proven record with traction sheave elevators. When produced according to company standard, the outer strands are made using Seale constructions. Each of the nine thick outer strands is exceptionally wear-resistant. This is why this rope is installed in situations where the service life of the rope is defined by the wear of the traction sheaves rather than by the demands of the continuous bending. The PAWO F7 is the logical progression from the PAWO F3. The outer strands are made using a Warrington construction. This rope is predominantly installed in systems where the service life of the rope is defined by the demands that the continu- ous bending exerts on the drive pulleys and deflecting pulleys, rather than by the wear-resistance of the outer strands. Just as you have come to expect from the PAWO F3, the steel core is nicely flexible and stops the rope cross section from distorting where the rope moves over the drive pulleys or the deflecting pulleys. The PAWO F7S was developed on the basis of the PAWO F7. The fibre component of the steel core of the F7 rope has been replaced by a steel strand. The metal cross section is, thus, enlarged giving the rope an even better minimum breaking load. This steel core rope is predominantly used where the service life of the rope is defined by the demands of the continuous bending rather than by the wear of the traction sheaves. Unlike with the F3 and F7 constructions, the steel rope core consid- erably reduces rope elongation. This makes the rope ideal for high rises with a high number of bending cycles.
