SAFETY FIRST! FALL PROTECTION SYSTEMS by Every year, many serious fall-related work accidents occur during construction and installation operations, due to a lack of height safety systems. This is the case, even though legislation specifically states that employers are required to put safety measures in place for labour carried out at heights where there is a danger of falling. If the risk of falling can not be eliminated through various safety measures, then Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is needed , such as safety harnesses, connection products and various accessories. Please ensure your safety equipment is in proper working condition - your life could depend on it! As a basic rule: it is only admissible to use height safety products, that have been tested and approved by an expert. Damaged height security products must be withdrawn from service immediately! Example: 4 Damaged belts and seams damaged straps and ropes; 4 In cases of extreme thermal exposure, signs of melting, melted welding beads and so on; 4 Deformed, corroded and non functional components; 4 Heavy soiling; 4 Following a fall; 4 Following exposure to chemicals; 4 Following intense UV ray exposure; 4 When the labels become Illegible; This applies, provided: 4 The product is used according to the product manual; 4 The product is tested no less than once a year by a qualified expert. Following this test the PPE against falls product must be documented before further use; 4 Storage and transport requirements of the product must be followed precisely, as per the usage manual.
